Contact Us

Use the issuing government office for custody, release, booking, court, or supervision questions. Messages to this private site cannot confirm a person’s status, retrieve an official record, change a record, or reach someone inside the McDuffie County Jail.

This is not a government office. We cannot confirm custody or release, pull records, arrange bond, pass messages, or correct an agency file.

County Jail Questions

For current custody or general facility information, contact the McDuffie County Jail. The official GDC location source lists the jail at 751 Public Safety Drive, Thomson, Georgia 30824, with the main line at 706-595-2040. Ask the jail to verify time-sensitive status before traveling.

Booking and Release Records

Direct a public booking, release, or available booking-photo request to the McDuffie County Sheriff’s Office records division. The official request materials ask for the requester’s name, phone number, return address, and a specific description of the record.

No public office hours were confirmed in the research. Call before an in-person visit. Ask for a cost estimate if search, redaction, or copy charges may apply.

State and Court Records

Use the Georgia Department of Corrections open-records portal for a GDC state-prison record. GDC states that it provides an initial response within three business days, charges $0.10 for each nonmedical copy, and may charge qualified staff time for search and redaction. For the disposition or order behind a release, contact the McDuffie County Clerk of Superior Court or the court that handled the case.

Other Custody Systems

Parole and felony-probation questions belong with Georgia parole or the Department of Community Supervision. Federal sentence records belong with the Bureau of Prisons, while an immigration-custody question belongs with ICE. Each system is separate from the county jail. A transfer out of McDuffie County custody may require checking the receiving agency rather than asking the Sheriff’s Office for a community release.
